Holger Schmidt, received his diploma in electrical engineering with focus on telecommunications from the technical university of Hannover, Germany. He has been working for Infineon Technologies AG (formerly Siemens Semiconductors) since 1995 in different positions related to design automation, project management in the area of wireline communication and since 2012 he is responsible for collaborative projects on European and national level. He links business line related innovation at Infineon to funding programs and is heading the group “Enablers & Emerging Trends” within the Infineon Research and Technology funding organization since 2020. His responsibilities include projects related to embedded AI, security and energy such as the CHIPS JU project ECS4DRES he coordinates. He is industrial advisor of the AENEAS scientific committee and contributes to the ECS SRIA.
